Maryann Batlle is a native of Miami-Dade County, Florida. She earned her bachelor’s degree in communication at Florida Gulf Coast University in 2010.
Two years later, she obtained her Master of Mass Communication from Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication at Arizona State University.
She is editor of The Banner, a twice-a-week community newspaper that is part of the Naples Daily News/USA TODAY Network-Florida.
Maryann is fluent in Spanish and English. Her interests include telling stories, coaching writers, mentorship, public policy, community development, local news — and speaking truth to power.
